What brings Light into your Heart & Soul?
Find a total stranger and ask them genuinely if there is anything they would like help with in their life.
Open your heart to fully being of service to this stranger.
For a specified amount of time (20 minutes, an hour, a day. . .), offer all you can physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually. Offer all no matter how big or small the task.
Before going to sleep the night after you make this offering, look deeply in your heart at how you feel.
If you find it fulfills or frees your heart to do this work,
make it your holy day - do it every month. Or make it your Church - do it every week.

The idea for this initiative was inspired by this wonderful quote from author Anne Lamott:
A Message from Maya:
Many of us are aware that our devices emit electromagnetic frequencies that are unhealthy. Most of us know that we would be better off if we did not allow ourselves to be barraged by these. (You can read a bit about this here: Consumer health organization of Canada). But most of us do nothing about it. I recently had an imposed "device un-plugging" when my phone died and (since I have no internet at my home, and the place I go to access it was closed) I had no access to internet for several days. I have no words for how well this served my body/heart/mind/spirit; I felt deeply renewed and enlivened in ways I have only experienced when choosing to go off-grid into nature. . . Perhaps because it was unscheduled and unplanned, I was able to viscerally experience the healing so shiningly in contrast to my daily sense of well-being while "on-device".
Even 24 hours "Off Device" can replenish sleep, rejuvenate the physical body, clear the mind, release mental/physical/energetic stress. . . and actually allow the human light-body to regenerate, which, in turn, catalyzes regeneration on a cellular level. The immune system revitalizes itself and thus health on all level improves. We become present to our environment and interact with it more intimately (literally smelling the roses, for example), which brings back a once-lost sense of belonging in the world and kinship with it. We become present to those around us; we are faced with interacting with the people in our lives and issues normally hidden behind time and energy spent on our devices, and through awareness of one another our relationships can begin to mend.
And who knows what more, when we are caring for our vessels. . .
This experience inspired me to share my new plan with those who might wish to join me in manifesting and maintaining the amazing healing that comes from voluntarily choosing a day of Off-Device/Unplugging!
THIS IS A DARE:
ONE DAY A WEEK - NO DEVICES.
Try it. If you like it, pass it around. Imagine one day a week Off-Device for the whole world. I pick Sunday, but pick whatever works for you.
And if you can't do a whole day, do a half. Breathe. Listen. Allow your energy and consciousness to expand into gentle perception of all that is around you. Enjoy JUST BEING, with no input or output on a mechanical or technological device. If you can, spend some of your Off-Device/Unplugged time in nature. Use all your senses. Breathe into your body and listen to it deeply; it knows what it needs for optimum health. It knows what it needs you to do - or stop doing - to and for it.
This is your one precious life in this particular body/vessel. UNPLUG.
